Our Mission
Big Sister Hour is a community-centered platform providing free mental health support groups, accessible workshops, and wellness experiences in Northwest Indiana for women and entrepreneurs.
Rooted in diversity, inclusion, and intentionality, we reduce barriers to support and remind women they don't have to navigate life alone. You don't have to be a business owner to belong — this community is for anyone who wants to learn, grow, and evolve.
What We Offer
Free support groups that create a judgment-free space to process, heal, and feel less alone — led with care and intention.
Accessible, real-world workshops covering public speaking, entrepreneurship, branding, and personal development.
Curated in-person and virtual wellness events designed to nourish your mind, body, and community connections.
BSH Community
Big Sister Hour gave me the guidance, support, and community I needed to grow with confidence. I was able to take a leap and leave my 9–5 to pursue my passions full-time.
Being part of BSH has been truly impactful. I've had the opportunity to connect with like-minded women and gain access to workshops that provide tools for both personal and professional growth.
Big Sister Hour has given my café visibility and connected me with a diverse, influential network I wouldn't have had access to otherwise. Their community and resources have been incredibly useful.

About the Founder
Illiana Melgoza
My name is Illiana Melgoza, and I'm a multi-passionate entrepreneur, community builder, and nonprofit leader from Northwest Indiana.
My journey has been shaped by overcoming deep personal challenges — including depression and moments where I questioned my worth and my path. Those experiences, though difficult, built the resilience I now pour into creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Big Sister Hour was born from everything I wish I'd had access to: a community that shows up, resources without barriers, and a reminder that growth is always possible — no matter where you're starting from.
